Born in 1878, Julio Scarcella spent seven decades on stage and screen, lending his presence to the golden dawn of Argentine cinema. Moviegoers first noticed him in 1941’s *Novios para las muchachas*, then welcomed him back the following year as the gentle heart of *La maestrita de los obreros*. His final bow came in 1944 with *La novela de un joven pobre*, sealing a modest yet memorable trilogy of performances.
