Biography
Oakland, California, first saw her, but flickering nickelodeon screens introduced her to the world. Between 1914 and 1915, Justina Wayne slipped into three very different lives: a wary spouse in A Suspicious Wife, a dream-besotted Eliza in Eliza's Fairy Prince, and a vivid soul in In Raw Color. When the lights came up for the last time, she had settled on the opposite coast, dying in Freeport, Long Island, on 2 December 1951.
