Biography
Stockholm welcomed Karin Alexandersson on 22 November 1878 and held her until the day before her seventieth birthday, 21 November 1948. Between those dates she stepped before the camera for the 1912 torment of *Fröken Julie*, sacrificed herself *För sin kärleks skull* in 1914, and, a quarter-century later, embodied the scandalous courtesan in *Emelie Högqvist* (1939).
