Biography
Born along the Danube in 1860, Vác’s own László Csiky stepped from provincial stages into the flickering dawn of Hungarian cinema. Within a single year he donned three unforgettable masks: the crimson-haired strongman of *A vörös Sámson*, the poisoned-pale charm of *Hófehérke*, and the rebellious student spirit of *Az iglói diákok*. When the cameras stopped rolling, the city lights of Budapest claimed him; he remained there until his final curtain fell in July 1936.
