Biography

Leonard Gray stepped before the camera only once, but he did it with style: in 1915 he slipped into the title role of *The Earl of Pawtucket*, a one-reel comedy that let him parade as a blue-blooded eccentric swapping New England propriety for slapstick mischief. No earlier roles are recorded; no later credits followed. For one bright flicker on the nascent silver screen, Gray was—and remains—the Earl.
