Biography
Leroy Baker stepped in front of the camera when serials were still young and dangerous. In 1914 he braved trains, cliffs and disguised villains for The Perils of Pauline, then traded cliffhangers for advice columns as he tackled Beatrice Fairfax in 1916. Three years later he closed the silent-era loop by cracking The Carter Case in 1919, leaving three one-reel time capsules that still carry his shadow.
