Biography
Hackney, 1872: a soot-streaked corner of London coughed up a boy named Leslie Victor who would trade the fog of the Thames for the footlights of the world. By 1915 he was swashbuckling through The Loyal Rebel, dodging musket-fire in a celluloid civil war; three years later he slipped on Cupid’s own mask in Cupid Camouflaged, letting romance run amok in silent mischief.
