Biography
A Texas sun rose on 17 July 1885, the same day Lily Cahill first drew breath in San Antonio; seventy summers and three days later that same sun set on her final breath in the very same city. Between those bookends she built a life beneath the klieg lights, slipping into characters for Colonel Carter of Cartersville in 1915, trading repartee in So This Is London in 1939, and revealing hard-won vulnerability in 1931’s My Sin. Off-screen, she shared her days with actor-playwright Brandon Tynan, a partnership woven from theatre lore and quiet, off-stage devotion.
