A Tennessee native born 5 June 1863, Lindsay J. Hall traded Southern quiet for the flicker of early celluloid, leaving his silhouette in The Hermit's Secret and A Soul's Tragedy—both 1915—and again in 1918’s Together. Forty-nine years after that first on-screen appearance, his story closed on 5 December 1937 amid the restless lights of New York City.
