Biography
Lionel Adams first drew breath in 1866 amid the brass-band pulse of New Orleans, Louisiana. A century ago he stepped before the camera, lending his presence to The Great Problem in 1916, followed by the tug-of-war romance Yes or No (1920) and the colonial pageant Janice Meredith (1924). His final curtain fell on 10 August 1952 in the restless heart of New York City.
