Biography
Lima, Ohio, greeted Lionel Bradshaw on 10 May 1892, and by his early twenties he had traded Midwest quiet for the flicker of silent-era film. Between 1914 and 1916 he slipped into three now-cult serials—*Lucille Love: The Girl of Mystery*, *The Black Box*, and *The Adventures of Peg o’ the Ring*—melding athletic charm with cliff-hanger suspense just as Hollywood’s lights began to blaze. The bright arc ended abruptly when the 26-year-old succumbed to the 1918 influenza wave in Los Angeles on 17 December, leaving behind a scant but indelible strip of celluloid.
