Biography
A winter’s child, Lise Wantzin arrived in Copenhagen on 4 January 1908. Before she turned nine, the camera had already claimed her: 1916 found her flickering across Danish screens in *Ledestjernen*, *Elskovsbarnet*, and *Nattens datter II*, three silent one-reelers that sealed her brief, bright moment in early Nordic cinema. The talkies never called her back; the century rolled on without her. She slipped away quietly on 28 March 1999, a last echo from the flicker of Denmark’s first silver age.
