Biography
Born under the palms of St. Augustine in 1877, Lois Arnold grew into the footlights and found her single, flickering place in cinema history as the spark at the heart of 1914’s *The Spitfire*. Seventy winters later, she closed her final act in Philadelphia on 26 January 1947.
