Biography
North Dakota soil welcomed Lola May on 15 March 1889, and by 1914 she had traded prairie winds for klieg lights, bewitching audiences in The Lure. Two years later she waded into mystery in The Green Swamp, followed by the romantic sleight-of-hand of A Camouflage Kiss in 1918. Fifty-three springs after that first picture, the lights dimmed for the last time; she died in Los Angeles on 4 February 1971.
