Lydia Nikolaevna Ostrovskaya, married Kordyum (native Ukrainian: Lidiia Mykolaivna Ostrovska-Kordium), born March 5 (March 18) 1909, in Kyiv, Russian Empire [now Kyiv, Ukraine]. Deceased December 8, 1986, in Kyiv, Soviet Union [now Kyiv, Ukraine]. Ukrainian actress and documentary director. In 1928 she graduated from the Lysenko Kyiv Music and Drama Institute. In the years 1928-1933 she starred in the films of the Kyiv film studio, as a rule, in the films of her husband. In 1935-1940 - assistant director at the film studios of Tashkent and Kyiv. In the years 1944-1981 director of the Kyiv film studio of popular science films. She made a number of film portraits and films on the theme 'Man and Nature'.
