Biography
Brooklyn greeted Mabel Frenyear on 25 August 1880, and by 1915 she was already casting shadows on the silent-screen—most famously as the tormented wife in *A Fool There Was*. Three years later she slipped into *Social Quicksands*, sealing her place in early-cinema memory. Off-camera, her heart took two walks down the aisle: first with Thomas R. Finucane, later with Edward F. Dunn.
