Biography
Mabel Greene arrived in 1886 and stepped before the camera while the medium itself was still learning to walk. Between 1914 and 1915 she breathed life into three now-lost silents—The Daughters of Men, The Greater Love, and Always in the Way—then slipped out of the frame forever, dying in Manhattan on 19 February 1916 at the age of twenty-nine.
