Biography
Born under a Lake Michigan sky on 23 September 1884, Mabel Wilbur grew up in Waukegan, Illinois, before stepping onto the boards and, in 1914, into the one-reel spotlight of *The County Chairman*. Off-screen, she shared her name—and life—with Lavillo E. Wilbur. She took her final bow on 4 March 1952 in Glendale, California.
