Biography
Born among the coal-dusted hills of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, on 6 November 1858, Madison C. Peters grew up to trade small-town quiet for footlights and ink. Between treading boards and crafting prose, he spun three early-cinema experiments that still flicker in archive reels: the biblical tableau *The Life of Moses* and the royal intrigue *Saul and David*, both released in 1909, and the preceding year’s Spanish-flavored romance *The Dancer and the King*. His final curtain fell in New York City on 12 October 1918, closing a life lived in stories both performed and penned.
