Biography
Copenhagen greeted Maja Bjerre-Lind on 14 September 1881, and by 1915 she had stepped before the camera just as Danish silent cinema was finding its voice. That year alone she flickered across the screen in two contrasting tales—I de unge Aar and Kærlighedens Firkløver—then rounded off the decade with 1917’s Kærligheds-Væddemaalet. Fifty-eight springs later, on 8 April 1939, the projectors stopped for good.
