Biography
Malcolm Blevins entered the world on 17 July 1885 in the small town of Versailles, Missouri, long before the movies had learned to talk. By 1917 he had traded quiet Midwestern streets for flickering silent sets, steering two cliff-hangers into theaters that year: The Mystery Ship and the serial Perils of the Secret Service. The following year he cranked the energy even higher in An American Live Wire. Off-screen he shared his life with actress Lillian Hamilton, his wife and frequent co-star. More than half a century later, on 27 February 1974, Blevins took his final bow in San Diego, California, leaving behind the glow of a brief but brightly-projected career.
