Born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on May 5, 1871, Mamie Lee Nichol embarked on a career as an actress. She is most distinctly remembered for her role in the 1915 film, "Sam Davis, the Hero of Tennessee." Her personal life saw her married to John Trimble Lindsley and later to Robert Wharton Nichol. She passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 13, 1947.
