Maria Garland was born on 16 May 1889 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She was an actress and writer, known for The Burning Question (1943), Lykke paa rejsen (1947) and Verdensgiften (1914). She was married to Ernst Ludwig Harthern-Jakobsen and Jean Louis Dalgas Mariboe. She died on 26 October 1967 in Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
