Before the talkies sang, Mario Roncoroni was already whispering stories onto nitrate. In 1925 he unfurled the Valencia of Las Barracas, two years later he crowned Rocío Dalbaicín, and in between he let Rosa de Levante bloom across the silent screen—three Spanish features, three quick heartbeats, and a legacy that still flickers in the archives of early Iberian cinema.
