Biography
A century ago, in an Iowa autumn, Marion Emmons drew his first breath on October 13, 1907. Before he turned ten he had already faced movie cameras, lending his face to the silent-era stories *Indian Blood* and *Jess of the Mountain Country*, both released in 1914. Four years later he stepped into the battle-scarred epic *Hearts of the World*, sealing his place in flickering black-and-white memory. When the projectors finally dimmed, Emmons remained—quietly, privately—until May 3, 1995, when he passed away in Los Angeles, California, closing the curtain at age 87.
