Biography
Born in Fulham’s busy streets in 1894, Marjorie Dunbar stepped before the camera just as British cinema was finding its footing. Her lone surviving screen credit is Ultus, the Man from the Dead (1915), a silent serial that still flickers in archives today. Off-screen, she shared her life with fellow performer George Denby. Twenty-six years after her first breath, she drew her last in the same London borough that had watched her grow up, 1920 closing her story where it began.
