Biography
Mark Price’s story begins on the green edge of the Irish coast, but the silent screen soon stole him away. Between 1914 and 1916 he slipped into three very different worlds—first the moral tightrope of The Scales of Justice, then the exotic fantasy of A Daughter of the Gods, and finally the sculptured passion of The Marble Heart. Off-camera he shared his life with Clara Babbitt Flagg, the woman who became his wife. Fate cut the final reel short on 31 March 1917, when Price drew his last breath on a Manhattan street, far from the Atlantic waves that once lulled him to sleep.
