Biography
A native of New York City, May Ward entered the world on May 26, 1881, eventually finding her calling under the bright lights of the early film industry. She left an indelible mark on the silent screen with her performances in 1915’s 'Virtue' and 'A Continental Girl', followed by her work in the 1916 production 'Where Is My Father?'. Beyond her cinematic career, she was the wife of Freeman Bernstein. Ward’s life came to a close on July 5, 1936, in Far Rockaway, New York.
