Biography
A wind off Lake Michigan greeted Miriam Nesbitt on 14 September 1873, the day she entered the world in Chicago. She grew into a performer whose flickering image preserved three early cinematic milestones: The Declaration of Independence (1911), The Close of the American Revolution (1912), and Mary Stuart (1913). Off-screen, she shared her life with fellow actor Marc McDermott. The California sun had already set when she took her final bow in Hollywood on 11 August 1954.
