Biography
Born under the Mississippi sun on 17 August 1892, Myrtis Coney stepped before the camera when movies still whispered on piano wire: first as the sea-torn waif in A Daughter of the Sea (1915), then as the conniver at the heart of The Duplicity of Hargraves (1917). After those two flashes of silver, she slipped from the frame and into private life, settling in Alexandria, Virginia, where she died on 20 September 1967.
