Biography
Born in the Baltic port of Libau on 15 July 1880—then still part of the Russian Empire, today the Latvian city of Liepāja—Nathaniel Sack built a brief but vivid career on early-American screens. Between 1914 and 1921 he slipped into characters as varied as the fast-talking hero of *The Man from Mexico*, the look-alike royals of *The Prince and the Pauper*, and the romantic puzzle-solver of *You Find It Everywhere*. Six decades after his first flicker lit a nickelodeon, Sack’s story closed quietly in New York City on 2 July 1966.
