Biography
Born under the summer sun of 10 July 1870 in Virginia, Ned Finley traded the rolling Blue Ridge for the flicker of silver screens, carving a brief but vivid path as both actor and director. Between 1913 and 1915 he steered three early classics—*The Leading Lady*, *The Gang*, and *O’Garry of the Royal Mounted*—through the nickelodeon frontier. Fate clipped his story short on 27 September 1920 in New York City, leaving the lights of Broadway dimmer by one trailblazing showman.
