Biography
Arkansas quietly delivered Nona Thomas to the world on 6 June 1889, and by 1915 she had traded its river towns for the flickering frontiers of silent cinema. That year moviegoers first felt her presence in The Alien and later followed her down The Darkening Trail; in 1916 she returned to the screen as The Apostle of Vengeance, sealing a brief but indelible trilogy of performances. Six decades after her final fade-out, she took her last breath in Orange County, California, on 10 July 1976.
