Biography
Born in the snow-muffled iron town of Kolbäck on 11 January 1886, O.A.C. Lund grew up where the forest meets the furnace. By his early thirties he had traded the clang of Västmanland’s forges for the whirr of hand-cranked cameras, sprinting through 1918 with a creative burst that left three one-reel adventures—Together, The Nature Girl, and Peg of the Pirates—flickering across Swedish screens within months of one another. Lund’s stories sailed from quiet parlors to tropical decks, yet always carried the cool Nordic light he never shed. After four more decades of writing and steering pictures, he closed his final scene in Stockholm on 2 May 1963.
