Biography
On the fourth day of 1880, Nagyvárad’s winter air greeted the arrival of Oszkár Fodor, a child who would grow into the silver-screen presence behind Marionetten’s haunting strings (1915), the wide plains of A csikós (1917), and the intrigue of Lyon Lea that same debut year. Seventy Januaries later, he took his final bow in Budapest, one day after his birthday, leaving behind flickering images that still move through cinema’s restless dreams.
