Biography
April 24, 1889, Frederiksberg welcomed a restless storyteller: Parly Petersen. By 1912 he had stepped before the camera in En Mesalliance, and over the next two years book-ended that debut with Ungdomsynd and Hans første Kærlighed—three swift frames that fixed his face to the birth pangs of Danish silent film. After the credits rolled he slipped from public view, living on quietly until June 9, 1965.
