Biography
Paul Gordon first drew breath on 2 November 1885 amid the clatter of Brooklyn’s streets. Within a decade he had traded the borough’s briny air for the flicker of silent film, animating stories like The Flash of an Emerald (1915), The Pretenders (1916), and the snow-choked mystery The Great White Trail (1917). Off-screen, he claimed Ann Mason as his wife. His final scene unfolded on 3 May 1929 in Florence, Tuscany, where the Arno’s waters bore quiet witness to his last exit.
