Raisa Puzhnaya

Biography

Raisa Puzhnaya had a somewhat brief, but stellar career as a film actress in the early Soviet cinema 1927 - 1934, when she starred in main roles in some of the Soviet Russian prestige project films of the time. She was a graduate from GIK (Gosudarstvennyy institut kinematografii), so this was in the years 1930 - 1938. After her career in front of the cameras, she worked as a senior editor in the film department at a documentary film studio.
