Biography
Richard J. Jose entered the world on 5 June 1862 amid the copper-mining smoke of Lanner, Cornwall, and stepped onto the screen 53 years later, lending his presence to the 1915 melodrama Silver Threads Among the Gold. Off-camera he shared life with Therese Shreve, and on 20 October 1941 he took his final bow in San Francisco, California.
