Biography
On a September morning in 1882, Copenhagen welcomed Rigmor Wantzin into the world—little knowing she would grow up to haunt the silver screen. Barely into her thirties, she stepped before the camera for The Hypnotic Violinist (1914) and, two years later, captivated audiences again as Elskovsbarnet unfolded in 1916. After the lights dimmed on her film work, she slipped back into private life, quietly marking time until 2 July 1965, when the curtain finally fell.
