Biography
Ruffo Geri strode onto the Italian silent screen just as cinema itself was learning to speak. In 1912 he galloped through The Heroine from Derna, then slipped between the asp and the Roman triumvir in 1913’s Marc'Antonio e Cleopatra, and finally faced the Ides of March head-on in the 1914 epic Julius Caesar—three swift years that fixed his silhouette in the flickering dawn of film history.
