Biography
Salerno, 1880: Ruggero Capodaglio drew his first breath in the warm Campania air, launching a life that would flicker across Italian screens for two wartime seasons. Between 1938 and 1943 he slipped into three memorable roles—Jeanne Doré’s world-weary confidant, the tormented soul of La donna del peccato, and the endearing sparkle of Principessina—each performance sealing his quiet reputation in Cinecittà’s golden years.
