Biography
Bethlehem, Connecticut, greeted the arrival of Sam Coit on 17 November 1872, and from that quiet start he stepped onto early flickering screens, lending his presence to Soldiers of Fortune and The Old Fogey—both released in 1914—and later to 1917’s The Honeymoon. Four decades after his first curtainless performance, his story closed in New York City on 2 January 1933.
