Biography
On May 16, 1886, Pequannock, New Jersey, welcomed the man who would one day command both sides of the camera—Seymour Zeliff. During the silent-era bloom, he stepped before the lens in Shadows of the West (1921), then pivoted behind it to shape The Guttersnipe (1922) and the whodunit The Mysterious Witness (1923). His final curtain fell in Los Angeles on January 17, 1953.
