Sofía Álvarez was born on 23 May 1915 in Bogota, Colombia. She was an actress, known for The Golden Barge (1947), You're Missing the Point (1940) and La reina de la opereta (1946). She was married to Miguel Ángel Ríos and César Calzadilla. She died on 30 April 1985 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
