Biography
Before the Revolution swept the old world away, Sofya Goslavskaya stepped into flickering arc-light and etched three silent spells onto celluloid: the fall of the Romanovs in 1913’s Votsareniye doma Romanovykh, the crumbling cliff of Obryv that same year, and the enchanted steppes of 1915’s Ruslan i Lyudmila. Each frame carried her presence; history keeps the titles, but the glow of her performances still hovers like an ember in a darkened theatre.
