Biography
A Glasgow printer’s son, 1877—Stanley Harrison slipped from the soot of Scotland into the footlights, trading shipyard fog for greasepaint. Two film credits anchor his ghost: in 1915 he sparred with willful love in *The Stubbornness of Geraldine*, and thirty-two winters later he resurfaced, weather-worn but still nimble, in Poland’s *Pierwsze lata*. The curtain fell for good on 16 February 1950, somewhere along Manhattan’s restless grid, leaving only those fleeting frames to speak his name.
