Biography
Born in Frederiksberg on a winter-bright 19 November 1894, Tage Hertel stepped before the camera while Danish silent cinema was still inventing itself. Within three whirlwind years he rode the high seas in *Under det sorte Flag* (1913), faced the inferno of *Livets baal* (1912), and tasted revenge in *Balleteusens hævn* (1914). The curtain fell for the last time on 7 January 1955, leaving those early flickers as the lasting echo of his screen life.
