Biography
A century ago, on the flickering nickelodeon screens of 1914, Thorvald Frederiksen stepped into the boots of the stage-driver in *Diligencekusken fra San-Hilo*—his sole surviving footprint in cinema’s infancy. After that single reel of fame, the cameras stopped rolling for him; he left the spotlight behind and, on a winter’s day, 15 January 1933, quietly exited the world he had once animated.
