Biography
Gothenburg, 1887: the year Victor Arfvidson first drew breath in the coastal bustle of Västra Götalands län. Within a decade he had traded the salt-stung wharfs for the hiss and flicker of early film, stepping before the camera in 1912’s moral storm *Samhällets dom*. Later that same year he slipped into the comic skin of *Laban Petterqvist tränar för olympiska spelen*, proving he could coax laughs as easily as gasps. In 1916 he returned to the fortress of Karlsten, breathing tension into every frame of *Fången på Karlstens fästning*. Five years later, at only thirty-four, the curtain fell; Arfvidson’s final scene played out in 1921, leaving Sweden’s silent screens a shade quieter.
